Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site

To preserve the memory of President Abe Lincoln, in 1904 a memorial was built to house what were thought were the remains of the original cabin that Abe Lincoln was born in. The Wikipedia entry has a good description of the history -- the truth is it's probably not the real cabin logs but the organizer's hearts were in the right place.
